Across the three campuses of Mitchell Conservatorium, teaching teams are engaged in delivering a variety of music education services to the following schools outside the main/home centres of Lithgow, Bathurst and Forbes/Parkes; Meadow Flat, O’Connell, Rockley, Wattle Flat/Sofala, The Lagoon, Capertee, Cullen Bullen, Hampton, ZigZag, Black Springs, Glen Alice, Glen Davis, Portland, Blayney, Millthorpe, Ilford, Grenfell, Condobolin, Corinella, Bedgerabong, Peak Hill, Trundle & West Wyalong. Subsidised, classroom based courses introducing the fundamentals of music continue to be delivered to small schools across the Lithgow & Bathurst Region with these programs evolving to suit the relevent school and student needs. Individual instrumental lessons are also offered during the school day on school premises as well as instrumental group lessons. School based ensembles have been developed or continued in several schools; a concert band at Meadow Flat, rock groups at O’Connell & Ilford and a percussion/drumming group at Black Springs.
