Rhonda Coleman

Rhonda studied through the University of Southern Queensland, achieving her Diploma in Music Teaching in 2002. She also holds a CMusA (piano) and has completed AMEB 8th Grade on Flute. Rhonda has been teaching Piano since 1998 and since commencing work at the Mitchell Conservatorium in 2010 teaches both Piano and Flute. She teaches at many schools both in Lithgow and Bathurst. She is the Musical Director of the MitCon Piccolinas, who perform regularly at many different community events and competitions including the Carols by Candlelight and the Bathurst Eisteddfod. She is a member of the Bathurst City & RSL Concert Band and has played as an orchestra member in a number of Carillion Theatrical Society musical and she regularly accompanies for exams, eisteddfods and studio concerts. Rhonda thoroughly enjoys teaching and sharing music with her students.

Anna Smith 

Anna has had over 20 years’ experience teaching musicianship and the piano. Since graduating from Sydney Conservatorium of Music, with a B. Mus. Ed. (major instrument: piano), she has been involved in music education in a variety of contexts.

Anna has taught music to pre-school aged children through to high school classrooms; directed choir and instrumental ensembles; and coached and accompanied students for exams. She is currently teaching singing and instrumental programmes in several primary schools.

Anna is passionate about her students experiencing all the advantages music brings - from its joy, to the developmental benefits of creativity, listening and concentration.

Helen Williams

Helen studied classical Voice with Donald Munro who was head of Voice at the Elder
Conservatorium of Music in South Australia. She has also studied with repetiteur, Russell Chanel at
the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
Performances have included Principal Roles and Concert Performances.
Other studies include Musicianship (7th Grade-prerequisite for teaching) with Peter Townley and
Dulcie Holland. She has also studied piano at the Sydney Conservatorium and Principles of Teaching
with Nancy Salas.
Other studies include French and German language, and a Degree and Post-Graduate Certificate in
Child and Family Health focusing on the development of children through music.
Helen has been involved with the Kodaly Method and has conducted Developmental Music Classes
for children for many years.
Helen holds a Masters in Special Education specialising in the beneficial uses of music and is
currently continuing with studies in Music theatre.
Helen has recorded 26 songs from Poems by A.A. Milne and set to music by H. Fraser-Simpson.
